SelfiePoll has implemented a direct rewards-based Crowdfunding campaign after investigating the other popular rewards-based Crowdfunding platforms KICKSTARTER AND INDIEGOGO. 

Here are the reasons why we chose a direct Crowdfunding approach.

• We have to invest in a marketing campaign to drive potential backers to fund SelfiePoll.  We want this investment to have a dual purpose; 1) to drive backers to fund us, and 2) to drive backer and non-backer traffic to our website.   This dual purpose is not available on KICKSTARTER nor INDIEGOGO.
• We want to establish a direct relationship with our backers. By creating a direct Crowdfunding campaign, we enable backers to fund us without the requirement to join KICKSTARTER or INDIEGOGO.  As backers fund us, we are establishing a direct relationship with them
• Neither KICKSTARTER nor INDIEGOGO have a reputation for funding success with applications like SelfiePoll.  KICKSTARTER and INDIEGOGO are much more successful at raising funds for physical products.
• We will save 8% to 12% in fees that we would have to pay to KICKSTARTER or INDIEGOGO for use of their platform.
• All funding pledges are appreciated and will be used to advance SelfiePoll, Inc goals and objectives.  KICKSTARTER will only release pledged funds if you achieve your stated goal.  INDIEGOGO will allow you to receive pledged funds if you don't achieve your statet goal, but you have to pay much higher fees.
• SelfiePoll is ready to launch.  KICKSTARTER and INDIEGOGO platforms focus primarily on projects that are in the developmental stages where backers are needed to fund development.
